“Print will never die, but your phone will”
In addition to writing online, I have also worked extensively on the print side of our publication. My print contributions have ranged from page layout to design advice and written articles. Please see the below sections for examples of my work.
Ampersand Winter and Spring
Ampersand is the culture magazine of the Standard and was founded on an Idea from Ruby Rogers, who was the Print Editor-in-Chief of our 25-26 editorial board. We published two editions, winter and spring. The focus of our magazine was culture and London-specific activities. As the Photography editor of the 25-26 editorial board, I played a central role in coordinating the photography across both editions.
Ampersand Cover — Winter
For the winter edition of Ampersand, we used a single landscape-format photo and wrapped it around the magazine's cover for a unique effect. The image I chose was taken in the City of London and features an emblematic blend of old and new architecture. This represents the diverse spirit of London.
Ampersand Cover — Spring
For the spring edition of ampersand, we wanted to go with something different. We settled on a vibrant blend of springtime flowers to showcase a livelier side of London. The front cover was only a single page and did not wrap around this time. I took the photos, and then our Print Deputy Editor-in-Chief arranged them in a collage.
